Like many businesses, Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash is seeking to become more eco-friendly and reduce its carbon footprint. In June 2012 Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash has required services to process food waste for renewable energy. Food waste that Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash generates is taken by Klines to their headquarters in Salunga Pennsylvania. Klines has specialized in servicing waste water customers for 55 years. On May 3rd 2012 Klines opened the first methane digester plant in Pennsylvania. The digester takes methane gas from food products and turns it into electric. They create enough electric to power their plant plus 450 homes.
